The year at St Andrews is split American style into two Semesters, rather than three terms. This means longer holidays basically.The level of teaching is exceptionally high here and nowhere is that more clear than when you are sitting with your tutor… whatever it might be. Important to note that some lectures and all tutorials are compulsory – miss three and you could lose your Permission to Proceed (PTP), which means you fail that module for that semester. This you do not want, as it means you will have to take an extra module the next semester or endure a... resit.
